India Based Firms
Most outsourcing firms are India based, with U.S. and U.K. marketing arms. Essentially all run along traditional business process outsourcing models ("BPO"), with either traditional IT support/maintenance or contract based professional support services as the offerings.
Legal Profession Behind
While there are exceptions, the legal profession lags dramatically in use of available technology and external resource access.
E-Lawyering Services
Currently "real" eLawyering, with a focus on the capabilities of the individual lawyer, client workspace portals and access to sophisticated professional systems and personal help on a project or on-going basis, is simply not possible without a substantial effort being made in the "assembly" of the necessary components - by both small and large firms alike.
Competitor Services
These companies are not offering "comprehensive" resources and services as does CROSLINKS LEGAL , and are not structured to service the legal profession in the English speaking countries with a full platform offering. Most are focused on larger firms and more traditional BPO services contracts.
